Course Descriptions: Doctor of Radiopsychology (RPSY)
The Doctor of Radiopsychology degree is designed to prepare students for a career as an AM Talk Radio "Therapist", or as an On Air Television Talk Show "Mental Health Consultant". Many graduates with a strong background in journalism have gone on to author trendy self help books as a source of supplemental income. Candidates for the Doctor of Radiopsychology degree must have previously earned a Master's of Broadcast Antagonism degree.
RPSY620. Transpersonal Demoralization.— The objective of this course is to acquaint the student with the most clinically effective methods of demoralization, in order to facilitate a more efficient on air personality reconstruction.
RPSY635. Character Flaw Revelation in the Second Person.— In order to construct an atmosphere of emotional healing, the therapeutic target must first be made aware of their own character flaws. This course will focus on the most time proven avenues of flaw revelation, and will give students the skills to expose the flaws in the most stoic of therapeutic targets.
RPSY650. Noncontextual Quotation.— The goal of this class is to teach students the well used tactic of taking random quotes out of context in order to support their personal opinions to therapeutic targets who do not possess the skills to recognize the lack of context. Quote sources will consist of The Bible, The Torah, The Talmud, The Koran, the teachings of Buddha, English Common Law and American History.
RPSY665. Instigation of Therapeutic Public Sobbing.— Class participants will be exposed to the latest research in the use of public sobbing as a therapeutic tool. Instigation techniques will include, but will not be limited to, the public opening of old emotional wounds, the reunification of the therapeutic target with long lost friends or family members, and the exposure of secret marital indiscretions.
RPSY675. On Air Hysteria Control.— A clinical study of hysteria control in a sound stage environment. Students will be expected to show proficiency in hugging, shoulder patting, hand holding and face slapping.
RPSY685. Professional Referral.— A series of weekly forums held by guest lecturers from the medical community on how to recognize individuals who are in need of "real" psychiatric intervention. Topics will include maintaining a list of area psychiatrists and psychiatric hospitals, speed dialing 911, and the fueling of disjointed but peaceful conversation while awaiting the arrival of Emergency Medical Services.
RPSY699. Doctoral Dissertation.— Topic to be agreed upon between student and advisor.
